About me
I’m Sharon Flowers, the artist and maker behind Flower Posie’s Handmade Rugs.
Every piece I create is a unique work of textile art, blending Afro-Caribbean heritage with contemporary tufting and punch-needle techniques. My rugs and coasters are inspired by culture, symbolism, and story — from traditional patterns and sacred symbols to bold, modern re-imaginings.
I work alone in my studio, drawing, tufting, finishing, and hand-cutting each design. No two pieces are ever the same, making them one-of-a-kind artworks to be treasured for years.
My journey with textiles began through my love of art, design, and fashion, and has grown into a practice that allows me to share culture and creativity through fibre. With every stitch, I celebrate heritage, resilience, and beauty.
